Unlike most aliens, Dex can't speak. He can hear but cant talk. But he's smart like the Vortians and is a doctor in the Back Up of the Resisty. While vort was being invaded, Dex showed his usefulness by tending to the leader of the resistantce. The leader took him in to be their dorctor abnd soon became best friends. As for the mask, he wears that due to an incedent at Vort, making him lose most of his sight and smell. The mask helps him breathe and see better. If it is taken off, he will die. The mask is connected to his mind from the back of his head.
Dex is facinated by space and often spends his free time looking at it. He doesn't mind being with resistants and tending to them, seeing most of them are friendly and misunderstood. He's a good listener and understands that they are outraged with the injustice in the universe, to see their planets being invaded and species killed for rideculous reasons. Thought Dex doesn't like violence and harm, he understands that sometimes actions can get through to others.
